½ cup butter
2 cups self rising flour
2 cups sugar
2 cups milk – (whole)
3-1/2 cups fresh blackberries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. When oven is at 350 degrees, place 13 x 9-inch baking pan in oven with butter. Allow butter to melt.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, sugar and milk; batter will be slightly lumpy. Pour batter on top of butter in baking pan. DO NOT mix butter and batter together.
- Drop blackberries into batter, if more crust is desired and less blackberries.
- Bake in oven for one hour or until golden brown. This needs vanilla ice cream to go with it for perfection.
