CRAB WONTONS

CRAB WONTONS

 

½ pound crab meat

6 ounces cream cheese, softened

½ teaspoon white Worcestershire sauce

1 clove of garlic, smashed with meat pounder

1 package wonton skins

1 egg yolks, beaten well

 

Deep fryer or large skillet with high sides

Vegetable oil

 

  1. Combine crab meat, cream cheese, white Worcestershire sauce and garlic.  Mix well.  Place ¾ to 1 teaspoon (no more) of mixture on each wonton.  Brush edges with egg wash for sealing and fold into a triangle
  2. Heat oil in deep fryer to 375 degrees.  Cook wontons 4 to 5 at a time; do not over-crowd.
  3. Fry until deep golden color.  Less than 30 seconds.  Drain on paper towels.  Serve immediately with honey plum sauce.
